A significant investment in the improvement and expansion of the road network, particularly motorways, has enhanced the transport links between the different regions of Murcia province and with the rest of Spain. The rail network is also being expanded and a high-speed train (AVE) will shortly connect Murcia with Madrid and the Valencia region. A new regional airport with the latest national and international airline infrastructure is also planned. |
