Moraira
Moraira is one of the areas most attractive and popular “villages“ . The strict planning controls here have ensured that no high rise development is allowed and the village centre is truly delightful with narrow streets lined with a myriad of shops, boutiques, restaurants and pavement cafes all running down towards the picturesque marina in which are berthed numerous gleaming white yachts.
In common with most other local villages, Moraira hosts a thriving market, held here on Fridays. Here you can buy an abundance of fresh fruit and vegetables, clothing, household goods, bedding, toys, in fact almost anything!
The small sandy bay at Moraira is a magnet for sun worshippers but there are numerous shady seating areas from where you can sit and “ people watch” whilst enjoying the fabulous views down the coast towards Calpe and the famous Peñon de Ifach rock.
Nearby towns and villages include Benitachell, Benissa, Teulada, Javea, Calpe, Altea and Albir. The famous resort of Benidorm and the Terra Mitica Theme Park are accessible within ½ hours drive. Please click on the search page to locate properties for sale in the Moraira area.
